Angela DeCenzo

Mom in the Tree

2023

I photograph women taking up space, not performing for anyone. Simply being, not in spite of time but because of it. To document this is to push back against a beauty culture that frames women and their bodies as something to be maintained rather than inhabited. Existing fully, moving through life with gratitude for what it actually is, is itself a radical act.
